Don't even think about comparing this play to the similarly named film. Only the title and profession of the main character have anything in common with the Robin Williams flick. Jerome Saibil offers a very interesting history and insight into the time (2000) when he was a D.J. in China. It's a wonderfully entertaining rant that keeps you wondering what will happen next. Saibil's delivery, interspersed with his live D.J. work and "on air" moments keeps the feel very intimate and friendly. You ARE in the studio, listening to his tale while he does his radio show. — Robert G. Slade |
